Well, FOX News is once again laying blame where it doesn’t belong. Call me a hippie liberal, but saying “We cover all the news” doesn’t equate “We aren’t crazy, right-wing extremist nutcases” or “We don’t insert our opinions into everything we cover.”
And really, if you’re going to fuck with someone, why would you pick every single one of the other major news outlets?
Then again, FOX isn’t known for its genius in picking fights stories to cover.
What did CNN have to say about it?
“How did, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, and CNN miss this story?” Fox’s newspaper ad asks.
The answer: They didn’t.
CNN provided live coverage of the rally in Washington on Saturday, dispatching more than a dozen personnel, including multiple camera crews and the CNN Express Bus, to cover the event. Deputy Political Director Paul Steinhauser was live at Freedom Plaza; Correspondent Kate Bolduan reported live from the Capitol and throughout the crowd; All Platform Journalist Jim Spellman provided live hits all day after traveling for weeks on the Tea Party Express Bus; and CNN Correspondent Lisa Desjardins was live for CNN and CNN Radio from the National Mall.
Looks like CNN is laying the smack down on FOX for this one, covering all the other networks’ statements:
Well, hm. Mysteriously, when I went to update this, the story has disappeared from CNN.com and I can’t find a trace of it anywhere. Probably for the best.
Well, I’m going on a float trip this weekend, so I’ll be out of the office, but if I see an update on this, I’ll let you know on Monday. And if you see an update on this, comment and let me know – someone will update it. Have a great weekend, from all of your Wheaties.
