Apple held its “It’s Only Rock and Roll” event today. Perhaps the most exciting thing for me was the return of Steve Jobs.
Aside from that, he announced iPhone 3.1 software (out today!) with a Genius feature for Apps, a ringtones store (for a steep $1.29 for the hot ones), an iTunes 9 preview and release date, they poked fun at Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo, some developers showed off, they dropped the 8GB Touch to $199 and added a 64GB Touch, they added a 160GB Classic, all headphones will now include remote for iPod Shuffle, new colors for the new 2GB $59 Shuffles:
They updated the Nano to include a video camera, a speaker and FM radio.
Then Norah Jones played and it was probably boring.
And surprise surprise, no tablet.
